Usman Jr. Lifts G Force U-11 to Victory

G Force Cricket Academy kicked off their new season with a dominant performance, thanks in large part to the stellar all-round display by Usman Jr. Playing in the Under 11 category, Usman Jr. showcased his prowess with both the bat and in the field. His masterful knock of 65 runs off 40 balls, which included 6 boundaries, was instrumental in guiding G Force to a commanding total. His sharp fielding also played a pivotal role, as he executed two crucial run-outs, demonstrating his agility and excellent game sense.

The academy fielded a mix of players, some making their tournament debut, with the youngest being just 8 years old. After a steady start, it was the 60-run partnership between Usman and Zayan Baig for the third wicket that laid a strong foundation for G Force. Ayushman Sahani also contributed with 17 runs from 23 balls, while Zayan Baig and Avyan Iyer chipped in with 13 and 15 runs, respectively. The team managed to post a solid total of 198 runs in their allotted 25 overs, with extras accounting for a significant 76 runs, including 57 wides generously offered by MS Cricket Academy.

Defending the total, G Force’s bowling attack, featuring the likes of Ayushman Sahani, Zayan Baig, Auf Merchant, Atharva Puri, and young 8-year-old Saransh, proved too much for the opposition. MS Cricket Academy was bowled out for 104 runs in 24.3 overs, with each bowler getting an opportunity and bowling in good areas.

The match concluded with G Force Cricket Academy securing a comfortable 94-run victory. Usman Jr. was named the Man of the Match for his outstanding knock of 65 runs and his sharp fielding contributions.
